Project History

LiveDating.me is Online and Mobile Dating platform, which provides the new way for people to meet each other for romance.

 

The project has started in 2006 as LiveDateSearch.com website. In 2006-2009 it was developed in parallel to its founder’s full-time job.

 

Till 2010 the project grew up into the network websites and services, including:

The business model has changed several times as well, while searching for the optimal revenue and popularity tradeoff.

 

During this period the unique experience in the Online Dating business has been gained. Its software engine has been reengineered two times in order to match the business requirements that were missed in the beginning.

 

In 2011 the development of the new service www.LiveDating.me was started. It is based on the existing software platform but has a number of significant advantages as compared to LiveDateSearch.com.

 

The Founder

Project CEO is a senior IT executive with ten years of experience in Project Management, Internet Solutions creation and Online Business Development. Strong background in UNIX & Web programming, team work organization and international projects coordination.

 

Graduated from National Taras Schevchenko University, dept. of Cybernetics. Worked for Procter&Gamble (IT function), MTS (telecom - UMC), GlobalLogic, IREX/IATP and other international companies.

 

Since 2009 – founder & owner of Miraline Systems company which specializes in software development outsourcing and online products development. Now the company is fully focused on its own web-based products.


 

2.  Problem and Solution

 

How to start and draw attention?

 

In real life people can use many ways in order to attract his/her attention – a catchy look, a sharp dance, a wink, sometimes this can be gently or flirty behavior and so on. People can wait for the right moment on the party and then to start conversation which is really natural and safe.

But on dating sites this is completely different. A photo and a few rows of text is all online daters typically see. “Ok, let’s click Send Message near her profile – but what should I write..?”

 

Typically there is a big physiological barrier for starting and developing relationships online. “Should I be funny or conservative? How should I act in order to make the right impression? When is it the right time to share my personal information and is it safe?” are typical questions.

This is even harder for people who are looking for serious relationship.

Despite social networks where people build their online graph out of real-life connections, on dating websites people first meet each other online, and then, possibly, continue in reality.
